Chief Purcell Again in Harness

Issue 21 and Volume 61.

Chief Purcell Again in Harness In a personal letter addressed to the editor of this journal, Chief Officer T. P. Purcell, of the Dublin, Ireland, fire department, says: “I met with a very serious accident while proceeding to a night fire and laid off for six weeks. It was a narrow escape from going off but fortunately I made a thorough recovery and am now feeling quite well. It may be that your paper, which I receive with pleasure and interest, will not arrive on all occasions of its issue, but this we can only correct in time by the united efforts of Christian and human civilization.”
