Fire Prevention and Protection A revised edition of a manual called “Fire Prevention and Protection,” by A. C. Hutson, C. E., fire protection engineer, has been recently published. This volume contains 778 pages and is a compilation of insurance regulations covering modern restrictions on hazards and suggested improvements in building construction and fire prevention and extinguishment. The aim of the book is to place before merchants, manufacturers and underwriters in convenient form the knowledge necessary for thorough protection from fire. The plan of the book includes the presentation of references to the various materials and devices which have been found useful in preventing or extinguishing fires along with such information as will enable a property owner to be guided in the use of approved appliances and materials.
