FIRE DEPARTMENT DOINGS A resolution opposing the sale of fireworks was adopted at the recent meeting of the Massachusetts Fire Chiefs’ Club. A chemical fire engine has been recently added to the new Egypt Fire Company in the outskirts of the city of Philadelphia, Pa. The Box 42 Association of Boston has lately been reorganized and incorporated under the law’s of the State of Massachusetts. The thirty-fourth annual convention of the Connecticut State Firemen’s Convention will be held in Hartford. Conn., on August 15 and 16. An order providing for separate sleeping rooms for the firemen at the central station in Somerville, Mass., has been vetoed by the mayor upon the advice of Chief Rich. The Board of Wardens of the fire department of Babylon, N. Y., recently voted in favor of the village installing a Denver automatic electrically operated siren with money voted by the taxpayers for that purpose.…
