WATER WORKS NEWS ITEMS A water supply system is projected for North Bangor, N. Y. The new water works system at Barry, Ill., has been completed. The new filtration plant of Menominee, Wis., has been completed at a cost of $70,000. Duluth, Minn., will sell the old Endion pumping station which has been closed since 1898. Three new turbines are to be added to the power of the Ottumwa, Ia., plant at a cost of $28,000. Work has been started on the installation of IB-inch transmission mains from the water plant at Anderson, Ind. All employees in the water works department of Salem, O., have had their salaries raised on account of the increased cost of living.
