Valuation of Cedar River Water Works at Seattle The Cedar River water system of Seattle, Wash., has a total value of $11,748,827.29, according to a valuation that has just been completed and which was made under the direction of John Lamb, auditor of the department since its establishment some twenty years ago, the valuation being made in accordance with the requirements of the State Bureau of Inspection. The values given are as of date January 1 of this year. The scrap value of the system (or what it could be sold for as junk) is figured at $934,515.95. The construction value is figured at $13,367,285.43. From this is subtracted depreciation of $3,210,458.40, leaving the present net value of the water system construction at $10,156,827.03.
