New Water Rule in Springfield A new rule passed by the water commissioners of Springfield, Mass., which taxes all owners of automobiles in that city $1.60 a year for water rent, is in effect this quarter for the first time and some dissatisfaction has been displayed by motorists who claim that it is not the amount as much as it is the principle of the rule that they object to. It was claimed recently that the matter will be placed before the Holyoke automobile club for action and that a test case will be made. The water commissioners state that if the tax is refused the water will be htit off.
