Steady Increase of Water Revenue at Rome The Sentinel of Rome, N. Y., says: The fiscal year of Rome’s water department just closed showed receipts of the water department, $91,455. When the people of Rome in 1907 voted unanimously to issue the bonds for Rome’s Fish Creek water system they did so upon an official statement estimating what the water receipts for several years would be. That estimate gave the water receipts for the fiscal year just ended at $53,500. Instead of $53,000 the actual receipts of this last year have proven to he $91,000. This shows the great wisdom of the public in approving that water system in 1907 and in authorizing as they did by their unanimous vote the bonds therefor.
