PERSONALS Water Commissioner Stroll, of Detroit, Mich., Water Board, has resigned. Chief A. G. Long, of the Chenalis, Wash., fire department, has resigned. He was a paid member of the department and held the office of chief for most of his membership term of 25 years. Harry A. Burt of D. Arthur Burt & Company, 626-627 Old South Building, Boston, Mass., has sailed as sergeant with one of the first national guard contingents crossing the ocean. His address is Third Company, 101st Ammunition Train, 26th Division, American Expeditionary Forces. H. M. Lovering has resigned as Water Commissioner at East Taunton, Mass. He had held the office forty years. In view of his services, a committee of the council was appointed to draft resolutions appreciative of his faithful work on the Water Roard.
