New Duplex 4-Wheel Drive Truck for Harrisburg Fire Department The Duplex Truck Company, Lansing, Mich., have recently delivered to the Harrisburg, Pa., fire department, Chief John C. Kihdler, a Duplex 4-wheel drive city service ladder truck, which has given good satisfaction. The specifications for this truck are as follows: Normal capacity, 7,000 pounds; length of chassis (over all), 441 inches, with wheel base, 202 inches; front and rear, 36×0 inch solid tires; width of frame, 39 3/8 inches; 40-horscpowcr, 4cylinder Buda motor. Eiscman ignition and Schcbler float-feed carbureter. Left side irreversible worm steering gear, with turning radius of 30 feet. Complete set of ladder arches, equipped with ladder lock. One 40-foot and one 55-foot extension ladder, one each 12 and 16-foot wall ladder with folding hooks, one 16-foot inside ex tension ladder, one 22-foot, one 25-foot and one 28-foot ladder.
