New Pure Water Supply System to be Installed at Zanesville Within a few months Zanesville, O., will see the operation of a pure water supply system. It will be furnished by twenty wells, one of which has a record of 700 gallons per minute. The wells are a distance of about half a mile from the pumping station, on a low level near the river. The wells proper are 10 inches in diameter and 100 feet deep. The water comes from the wells with considerable force, being lifted from below the surface by compressed air, piped from the pumping station. The pumping station is completed. It is built of pressed brick with substantial 20-inch walls. On the interior it is finished in pressed brick and buff tile.
