FILTRATION The city water of Ann Arbor, Mich., has become so muddy that its use was prohibited for drinking. Final tests of the Windsor Locks, Conn., water by State Board of Health, shows that it is safe to use for domestic purposes. The New Hampshire State Health has not approved of the drinking water at Milford, N. H., and has so notified the local water board. Forty-one cases of typhoid fever have been reported to the State Department of Health from Ford City, Pa. All indications are that the epidemic is waterborne in character. The Massachusetts State Department of Health has recommended that no permits be given for fishing in any body of water used as a source of public drinking water supply.
