WATER WORKS NEWS ITEMS The new water works system will soon be started at Imogene, Ia. Improvements to the Muscatine, Ia., city pumping plant will cost about $30,000. At Farmington, Ill., a deep well has been completed at a depth of about 1,700 feet. A fresh water supply is in prospect for Corsicana, Tex., to provide which a bond issue of $400,000 has recently been voted. The Ilion, N. Y., Board of Water Commissioners have elected George R. Russell, president; C. M. Gray, secretary, and F. A. Smidt, treasurer. The plant and equipment of the Glenside, Pa., Water Company has been transferred to the City of Reading with the annexation of Glenside to the city. A new deep well pump recently installed at Lake Geneva, Wis., has been working most efficiently. It throws an 8-inch stream and pumps over 900 gallons per minute.
