WATER WORKS NEWS ITEMS The pumping plant being biult at Nashville, Tenn., in connection with the new permanent water system, will be ready for operacon in a short time. A water expert has been engaged at Fredonia, N. Y., to look into the water situation and seek out relief from bad water conditions prevalent. S. J. Hauser, assistant superintendent of the Cincinnati, O., water works, on April 1 became superintendent of the Youngstown, O., water works. Work on the detention reservoir construction for Hamilton, O., has been started near Dayton, by breaking ground at the various dam sites throughout the Miami river valley. Progress is being made on the work at the Zanesville, O.. pumping plant. A second pump has just been installed and a third pump has arrived and will be placed.
