Assistant Chief Feeheley Injured

Assistant Chief Feeheley Injured Assistant Chief William Feeheley of the Saginaw, Mich., fire department, was seriously injured recently, when he stumbled over a steam pipe in the smokechoked heating plant of the Foresters’ Temple and fell headlong into a pit which was partially filled with water. When pulled out from the hole by his comrades he was bleeding profusely about the right ear, which was nearly severed from the head, and he was in a very dazed condition. In falling, Mr. Feeheley had landed in amongst a number of old boxes, bottles and coal, striking with his head first, and had lain for a few moments with his head under water. The pit is about six feet deep. He was taken first to No. 3 hose-house and then to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he was reported resting easily.
