MOTOR APPARATUS NOTES The borough firemen of South River, N. J., have requested the council to purchase a motor pumper. At Wallington. N. Y., the question of the purchase of new motor apparatus is to be decided by the people on election day. The Kearny, N. J., council has authorized the purchase of a city service motor truck, to cost $7,750, and a motor triple combination pumper at $11,250. The Ideal Tire Company, Cleveland, has donated a tire to the fire department of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and it has been placed on the wheel of the new fire truck. The purchase of a new motor aerial truck, to be placed in the central fire station in Davenport, Ia., has been recommended to the fire committee of the city council by underwriters.
