Cincinnati Health Official Claims Record for Pure Water

Issue 11 and Volume 64.

Cincinnati Health Official Claims Record for Pure Water Health Officer W. H. Peters of Cincinnati. O., says the records show that of eight deaths attributed to typhoid fever in the current year, two of the victims contracted the disease while away from the city within thirty days prior to illness, two cases were ill when brought into the city and two drank from irregular water supply, while the cause of death in the two remaining cases was not fully determined. Dr. Peters therefore. claims that as only two at most, of the eight deaths could be attributed to Cincinnati, it gives the Queen City the lowest death rate, from that cause, in the United States.
