Address of Chief Kenlon at Atlantic City Chief John Kenlon. of the New York fire department, who is known as an eloquent public speaker, added to his laurels at the recent State Firemen’s convention at Atlantic City, N. J., in a patriotic speech, in which he paid a tribute to the soldiers and sailors of the United States. “Really,” the chief began, “this is the most inspiring sight I have witnessed in some time. I am not a stranger to firemen, particularly when they are assembled in convention. For many years I have attended State conventions and also the conventions of the International Association of Fire Engineers.
