Government Again Takes Valves

Issue 19 and Volume 64.

Government Again Takes Valves Sawyer, Wis., is not likely to have the waterworks system in operation this season, as was as the 12-inch valves that had been made for this work, were taken over by the Government for the third time. The first two times the work Of excavating had not been started, but this time it was thought certain that the material would come so the digging was commenced. The ditches for the mains had been dug several hundred feet long pn several streets and now property owners in the vicinity are wondering whether these streets are to be torn up and shut off all winter. It is not thought likely that there will be any further work done until next spring.
