Fire Cisterns Made Ready for Use The town of Gabon, O., finding that a water shortage was threatened recently, made an examination of fire cisterns excavated many years ago in the business section before the water works were established. The cisterns, ten in number, were found to be in such condition that they could be made serviceable in a very short time, and the average depth of water was about 8 feet.
