New Pump for Lorain The new Allis-Chalmers pump, which has been in operation at the Lorain, O., water works for three months, has met the official test in good shape and been formally accepted by the city, Service Director W. A. Lilians has announced. The pump has a rated capacity of 7,500,000 gallons a day and can be overloaded for 24 hours to a capacity of 10,000,000 gallons. The old Holley pump, which has been in use for years, will be thoroughly repaired and kept for emergency use.
