Death of E. L. Strauss E. L. Strauss, president of the Central Brass Manufacturing Company, who died at his home in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 11, 1918, from influenza, contracted while on a business trip, was one of the younger men who have gained prominence in the brass manufacturing business. Only 37 years of age. he was a man of ripe experience in business affairs and was a strong advocate of trade association. He was at the time of his death president of the National Association of Brass Manufacturers. His prominence in association affairs gave him many opportunities for w a r service, and during the years of war much of his time was spent at the capital city.
