On a Visit to Chief Reynolds

Issue 8 and Volume 65.

On a Visit to Chief Reynolds John J. Burns, of New York, has been the guest of Chief Frank G. Reynolds of Augusta, Ga. Mr. Burns is on a health quest, and is stopping in that city for four or five days. A little later he will go to Savannah, Jacksonville and other points in the South. Mr. Burns is a deputy chief of the New York City fire department. He has been in the service thirty-five years. The Augusta Chronicle says: “Mr. Burns is not only a veteran fireman with an A 1 record, but is one of the most popular officers in the greatest of the American cities. Those who have met him since he has been here have become interested in him. He is a jovial gentleman of fine personality and fine physique—a fine fellow in every way.”
