WATER RATES An ordinance has been submitted to the city council of Gloucester City, N. J., revising the rates of water, with a probable minimum of $12 per house, per annum. The Board of Affairs, of Kenmore, Ohio, has decided to raise the minimum water bill per quarter to $2 instead of $1. No change in the price per thousand gallons was made. The new rate goes into effect July 1. The Birdsboro Water Company, of Birdsboro, and Thompson Borough Water Company, of Thompson, Susquehanna County, have filed notices of increases of rates will the Public Service Commission of Pennsylvania. A general increase of water rates is soon to take effect in the city of Lowell, Mass.
