SEWERAGE The Board of Contract and Supply is at work on plans to provide Binghamton, N. Y., with a sewage disposal plant. Arrangements have been completed for sewer extension in Wappingers Falls, N. Y., which will take care of residence districts not now served by the sewerage system. Members of the committee on finance, Worcester, Mass, recently visited Fitchburg to inspect the working of its Imhoff sewage disposal system. The city of Worcester proposes to adopt the same method at the Quinsigamond plant. Property specially benefited and the town at large must share the cost of the proposed storm sewer along Skinkle brook. This is the opinion of Corporation Counsel Charles H. Stewart, submitted to the town commission of Irvington, N. J., who declares that the entire cost can not be met by direct taxation on the benefited property.
