The call men of North Attleboro, Mass., will hereafter receive $178 a year. Permanent men of the Peabody, Mass, fire department, will hereafter be paid $3.75 a day. The hand engine recently displaced in Westboro, Mass., by a motor engine, was bought in 1850. Salem, Mass., has added a supervisor of motor apparatus to the fire department at a yearly salary of $1,500. The fire company of East Greenbush, N.
