Improvements Planned for Miles City The city council of Miles City, Mont., has placed orders for equipment and material for the municipal water system that will aggregate in cost $47,684, and which will when installed prepare the system to take care of the water needs of the city for years to come. The improvements ordered by the council include the following: Turbine generator, General Electric Company, bid price, $17,825, delivered in Miles City; two boilers, Heine Safety Boiler Company, $16,100, delivered in Miles City; automatic stoker, Westinghouse Electric Company, $6,635. delivered in Miles City; ash conveyor, R. B. Whitaker & Co., $5,032, delivered in Miles City; pipe fittings and valves, R, B. Whitaker & Co., $2,092, delivered in Miles City. The town of England, Ark., has installed a new steel tank of 40,000 gallons capacity, which insures a good supply for the local water works.
