Albany Firemen May Have Army Gas Masks Gas masks, in exact pattern of the ones used by the soldier of the United States in France, will probably be added to the equipment of the Albany, N. Y., fire department, and each of the fire companies will be provided from three to six of them. Commissioner of Public Safety J. Sheldon Frost, it is understood, is favorably inclined to the purchase of the masks, and Chief William W. Bridgeford speaks highly of the efficiency of the contrivance. A demonstration of the efficiency of the mask was made at the house of Engine Co. No. 1 in the presence of Mayor James R. Watt, Commissioner of Public Safety J.
