CHIEF WALLACE CELEBRATES The Veteran Head of the Cleveland Fire Department Observes his Fiftieth Anniversary as a Fireman He is Seventy-Three Years Young His Men Present Him with a $500 Liberty Bond (From Our Regular Correspondent.) CLEVELAND firemen paid a tribute to their chief— George Alexander Wallace—on the evening of June 1. The chief completed fifty years of fire fighting service in Cleveland on June 2. In token of their respect for their leader, his record and ability, “his men” presented Chief Wallace with a $500 Liberty bond. The prefiremen, “cornered” No. 14, “If it gives you as much pleasure to receive this token as it affords us to offer it, you must be overwhelmed, Mr. Urbanowicz said. And Chief Wallace responded: “I’ve a feeling that I’m Chief George A.
