The Proceedings of the Convention In this issue is presented a running account of the convention of the American Water Works Association, held in Buffalo, N. Y., on June 9 to 13. The important discussions are given almost in their entirety, those included in the Round Table on Tuesday morning, and the Superintendents’ Day and Questions Box conferences, on Tuesday afternoon, the second named having been advanced from Thursday’s session, being specially interesting. A very important and instructive address was that of D. J. O’Brien, on “The Trend of Prices,” in which he considered the labor element in the present and future water works situation, and which is reprinted in the Wednesday morning report. The papers presented by the various speakers were of an especially high character, and while crowded out of this issue by lack of space, will be reprinted in succeeding numbers of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING.
