FILTRATION The supply of well water at a number of Menasha, Wis., residences has been found unsafe as the result of an examination made at the state laboratories at Madison. A quantity of the water used for cooking and drinking purposes was sent to Madison and brought back the reply that the water was unfit for use in the house. Immediate steps will be taken to improve the condition. Rahway’s water supply is in an unusual and unsafe condition, according to a report by Herbert B. Baldwin, expert chemist and bacteriologist for the Rahway, N. J., water department. Mention of the condition of the water is made in the regular report cards sent to the city by the chemist and in a special communication addressed to City Commissioner John Farrel, in charge of the water department.
