SEWERAGE It is figured that the share of Rahway, N. J., in the sewer project undertaken in conjunction with Cranford, will amount to $145,000. Garner, Ia., is having a complete sewer system and disposal plant installed under the supervision of J. G. Thorne, city Engineer of Clinton. Iowa. The sewer system will cost $60,220 and the disposal plant $14,181.20. A communication was received recently by the Common Council of Plainfield, N. J., from representatives of the Borough of Fanwood stating that the installation of a system of sewers in that town is a matter pressing for immediate solution, and asking for a tentative estimate to the charge Plainfield will make for dumping sewage from Fanwood into the local collecting system. It will take a year or longer and a million more dollars than was anticipated to complete the Passaic Valley, N. J., sewerage system. The present contracts are expected to…
