SEWERAGE A sewer system is being installed in El Dorado, Kan., which will be about five miles long, including laterals and will cost approximately $77,000. Petitions have been filed at Bridgeport, Neb., for two new sewer districts and the city council has instructed the city engineer to prepare plans for the construction of a sewer in each district, as petitioned, together with an estimate of the cost. The city of Worcester, Mass., is seriously considering the adoption of the Imhoff system in the immense sewer project that is to be undertaken soon. The fact that the system is in successful use in various other cities inclines the municipality in its favor. Appropriations have been made for the extensive sewer construction planned in the borough of Queens, N. Y., and work will soon be started.
