Bayonne’s Injunction Case is Heard Advisory Master Lane recently heard argument on the bill and answer in the suit brought by the mayor and council of the city of Bayonne, N. J., to enjoin the East Jersey Water Company from carrying out its threat to shut off the water supply that Bayonne has been receiving under its contract with the New York & New Jersey Water Co. Bayonne on May 3. 1918, adopted an ordinance for the purchase of “all the land, buildings, rights of way. pipe lines, contracts and easements” belonging to the New York & New Jersey Water Co used for supplying water to Bayonne, or adapted to furnish such supply. On September 6 the New York & New Jersey conveyed to the complainant municipality all the physical properties embraced in the ordinance of May 3.
