City Officials of Woonsocket, R. I., May Enlarge Water Works The water works department of Woonsocket, R. I., recently invited the members of the board of aldermen and common council on a tour of inspection of the reservoir at Woonsocket and the other portions of the new work now under way. The object of the trip was to demonstrate to the officials the wisdom of running a new pipe line from the pumping station to the present tanks immediately, and the erection of new tanks for a reserve supply in the near future. The department feels that provision for emergencies should be made, as, in the event of accident to the main feed lines, the water in the tanks would last only a day.
