WATER WORKS NEWS The village of Shadyside, Ohio, is improving the water system. The city of Des Moines, Ia., has voted to buy the water works system. The two new pumps of 5,000,000 gallons’ capacity, bought for the Canton, Ohio, water works, have been received. The village of Wellington, Ohio, will vote, October 6, on the question of issuing $25,000 bonds for improving the water system. Sioux Falls, S. D., is installing a water tank and tower, also new 8-inch mains, for the purpose of affording increased pressure and better service. Dunkirk, N. Y., has sold a bond issue of $40,000, whose roceeds will be applied to take up notes and other bills that ave been accumulating. At a special election recently held in the town of Tuttle, Okla., the proposed $20,000 bond issue for installation of a water system was defeated. The village of Jewett, Ohio, shows its progressive…
