Meter Department Float at St. John, N. B., Prince of Wales Parade At a parade given in honor of the visit of the Prince of Wales to St. John, N. B., in September last, one of the most striking floats was that of the meter department of that city. It was mounted on a motor truck, draped with bunting and decked with flags and streamers. A large number of the meters and stock were mounted on the rear of the truck connected by pipes to fixtures, as in actual use. The truck belonging to the department was in charge of A. H. Martin, assisted by R. H. Pearson and driven by Harry Reynolds. The float was artistically decorated and was a good representation of the work of the department. It is illustrated herewith.
