Lecture on Grain Dust Explosions

Issue 27 and Volume 66.

Lecture on Grain Dust Explosions A demonstration of a grain dust explosion was a feature of a lecture delivered in the Merchants’ Exchange Building, San Francisco, Cal., by Dr. H. H. Brown of the United States Bureau of Chemistry. Moving pictures and a model of a grain elevator were used to illustrate the lecture, which was one of a series now being given in the principal cities of the grain sections, under the auspices of the Department of Agriculture and the United States Grain Corporation. Representatives of insurance interests and fire department officials are supposed to constitute the audiences as a rule, but the general public is welcomed.
