PERSONALS H. A. Smith is the new director of public service for Canton, Ohio, having been appointed by Mayor Herman R. Witter. George T. Wood has been elected chairman of the sewer commission of Louisville, Ky. Mr. Wood is a broker and has long been interested in municipal affairs, having been formerly president of the board of aldermen. Captain James H. Reynolds, late of the U. S. A., has been appointed engineer in charge of the purification plant and assistant engineer of the water department of Lowell, Mass. Captain Reynolds was stationed at Camp Devins during the war and was actively identified with the establishment of the water system at the camp. J. W. Ledoux, chief engineer of the American Pipe and Construction Company, has resigned that position in order to give all his attention to his consulting engineering practice and after January 1. 1920, will be established as consulting…
