GENERAL FIRE ITEMS The two-platoon system will go into operation in South Bend, Ind., on July 1. Parkersburg, W. Va., is considering the adoption of the two-platoon system for that city’s department. Massillon, Ohio, is the latest Ohio city to adopt the two platoons, which will soon go into effect in the department.
