It Was Surely a Record Water Works Convention American Water Works Association Meets in Montreal for 40th Annual Gathering—Big Attendance—Papers and Discussions Full of Practical Information for Superintendents—List of Members Present and Exhibits Special Report to FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING. THE Fortieth Annual Convention of the American Water Works Association opened with a record attendance on Monday morning, June 21st, in the beautiful and historic city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Many of the members and their friends arrived on Sunday night, and the hotels began filling up at that time, but Monday saw a much greater influx of attendance, the registration on the evening of that day running well into a total of five hundred.
