Chief Taro Obtains Leave of Absence Chief W. A. Taro of the fire department of Everett, Wash., has recently been granted one year’s leave of absence by the city commissioners of that city. The chief requested this in order to establish himself in business which, he states, has been his ambition for several years. The organization of the new firm, of which he is elected president, is practically complete, and will be called the Taro Company. Inc. The concern will represent mechanical rubber goods manufactured by the American Rubber Manufacturing Company of San Francisco, and will also handle a full line of fire protection goods and fire department supplies.
