Boston, Mass. — Fire Commissioner Murphy’s schedule for 1921 includes the following changes: additional permanent high pressure fire wagons, fire boat and new headquarters, and many extensive alterations in stations. Henrietta, N. Y.—Motor fire truck will be bought in near future. Buffalo, N. Y.—Council authorized complete motorization of fire department at estimated cost of $140,000. Ten engine companies will be affected. Kingston, N. Y.—Chief Rodney A. Chipp has made the following recommendations for his department: purchase of one triple-combination pumping engine, 1,000 feet of 2 1/2-inch fire hose, one-half dozen smoke protectors, and equipping fire alarm system with new switch board. Elmira, N. Y.—Chief Espey recommends in his annual report the purchase of considerable new equipment, repairs to buildings, addition of several new hydrants and improvements to fire alarm system.
