School Lectures on Water Conservation Following the recommendation of Dr. Burt Daly of Bayonne, N. J. that a program of lectures be prepared for the schools of the city for the purpose of instructing the children in the proper use and conservation of water, which was referred to editorially in the issue of December 29, 1920, of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING, Superintendent of Schools Preston H. Smith was empowered by the board of education to establish a water laboratory at the Bayonne High School and to arrange for a course of lectures in the schools of the city for the purpose of instructing the children in the proper use of water.
