WATER WORKS NEWS Ten new fire hydrants have been installed in Auburn, Mass. The Massachusetts Senate killed the bill which had been passed by the House allowing boating and fishing on Lake Cochituate. The largest amount of water ever stored in the city’s reservoir of Lima, Ohio, at one time amounted to nearly a billion gallons, according to a report recently made by Service Director McClain of that city. Governor Cox of Massachusetts recently signed a bill permitting the town of Dartmouth to borrow $50,000 for extending and improving its water distribution system and one permitting Acushnet to borrow $35,000 for the same purpose.
