Fire News from Georgia As the result of a recent electrical storm at Brunswick the entire fire alarm system was put out of commission. Members of the fire department were busily engaged all over the city repairing the damage. One fireman narrowly escaped death by electrocution when he came in contact with a high voltage wire while on the top of a pole. He was knocked to the ground receiving painful injuries. During a recent drive in raising subscriptions towards erecting a new home for the Salvation Army in Atlanta, practically all members of the day shift of the Atlanta Fire Department headed by Chief Wm. B. Cody swelled the receipts in canvassing the city. Chairman Arnold Lowery of the financial committee expressed his hearty thanks to all members of the fire department in their excellent work.
