To the Editor: I THANK you for the privilege you have offered of sending a message to the members of the American Water Works Association. It seems presuming to write as president-elect when the results of the election have not been announced. But, owing to the courtesy of the membership in leaving me the only nominee, I am taking the risk of sending this message. The important feature of an association such as ours is a sufficient income from a large membership. In order to obtain a large membership there must be something worth while for each individual member. All the members of the association are not able to attend the meetings, so that frequent issues of a journal containing articles of special interest to some of the members…
