MORE FIRE APPARATUS MAY BE PURCHASED Dallas, Tex.—Additional motor apparatus for the Dallas Fire Department may be provided in the annual budget of the department now being considered by the Board of Commissioners, Louis R. Turley, Police and Fire Commissioner, said after receipt of a report from Chief T. A. Myers. In his report Chief Myers declared that six pieces of motor apparatus now being used by the department are no longer fit for service and should be replaced. They include three Webb pumpers and one Webb hook and ladder bought by the city in 1910. Commissioner Turley said that it is his intention to keep chemical apparatus in Oak Cliff as long as there is any possibility of a water shortage there. He is checking up the Oak Cliff fire plugs and declared that an addition plug will be installed to protect the Winnetka School.
