Water Works Men Have Splendid Convention American Water Works Association Meets at Cleveland— Very Large Attendance — Good Exhibits — Full Report of Convention in iNext Week’s Issue (Special report to FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING) THE forty-first annual convention of the American Water Works Association was opened at Cleveland, Ohio, on June 6. 1920. at the Hollenden Hotel. The members began to arrive on Sunday evening and by Monday morning, when the secretary’s offices opened for registration on the second floor of the headquarters hotel, it was crowded to capacity with members waiting to register. On Monday evening, Commissioner of Public Works Farrell of Cleveland, representing the mayor, who was unable to be present, welcomed the members and presented the “key of Cleveland” to President Little, who responded in behalf of the association.
