Pennsylvania Firemens Association Convention The 1921 convention of the Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association is to be held on October 4, 5 and 6 at Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and according to the executive secretary, Frank Schappert, promises to be one of the greatest affairs ever held by the state body. On the two days following the celebration there is to be a centennial celebration by the citizens of Wilkes-Barre in commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of its incorporation and the decorations for the convention are to remain intact until the conclusion of the latter event. The last state convention in WilkesBarre was held about twenty-five years ago. Chief Frank Hochreiter of the Wilkes-Barre fire department, is the state president of the Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association, and the holding of the convention is of particular importance on this account.
