City Officials and Fire Departments The suggestion of Mayor William J. Wallin, of Yonkers, N. Y., at the Fifteen Annual Convention of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, an account of which appears on page 62 of this week’s issue of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING, that the association hold its next annual convention at Poughkeepsie, N. Y., at the same time as the Conference of Mayors and Other City Officials of the State of New York, is an excellent one, insofar as it brings the chiefs in touch with these important city officials. There is no doubt but that much good would come from the close touch brought about by the meeting of the New York chiefs in conference with mayors and other city officials assembled in their meeting.
